The Dallas Cowboys are looking to add to their quarterback depth for training camp. According to Patrik Walker of 247Sports.com, they brought in South Dakota State product Taryn Christion for a workout.
If Christion finds his way on the Dallas Cowboys roster, this would already be his second team in just a few short months. The quarterback was on the Seattle Seahawks for a little bit before being released in May.
Christion is a multi-threat quarterback as he can definitely use his legs whenever needed. However, it's pretty clear he's not getting a workout with the intentions of Dallas having to play him.
Dak Prescott is the starting quarterback for the Cowboys and that's likely not changing anytime soon.

With that in mind, there's no obvious favorite for the second or third quarterback spots on the roster. That means there's no reason not to believe Christion can't win a spot. There's every chance that he has a good enough workout to break camp. From there, anything can happen in regards to the backup quarterback spots.
It would be smart for the Cowboys to carry three quarterbacks on their roster (I believe every team should). That means Christion might be on the outside looking in at the moment, but the door is definitely open for him to make the roster in 2019.
