In his rookie campaign, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott took the NFL by storm with his play on the field helping lead his team to one of the best records in the league.
As the regular season draws near, the Cowboys do not hold any concerns that Prescott will not be able to build off of his impressive rookie campaign that saw him capture the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.

We talked about it at the onset back in the spring and right after the season that we pick up where we left off, but there’s a lot of things we need to improve on. And he’s worked on those things, and I think we’ve seen a lot of evidence of that this preseason.”
In fact, there has been nothing but praise thrown his way this entire offseason and preseason. There has been much talk about his continued development in his passing ability and poise in the pocket. The only area that was singled out was his effectiveness on deep ball throws.
The Cowboys will likely lean on heavily on Prescott in the first several weeks of the regular season with Ezekiel Elliott likely out for the first six games due to violating the league’s personal conduct policy. The 24-year-old has shown much reason for optimism that he handle that increased responsibility by his play in the preseason as he completed 18 of 22 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns in six total drives in two games played.
Ultimately, this could set the table for Prescott to break out and demonstrate he can effectively lead an offense with his arm along with his team to a similar high level of success that he experienced in his rookie campaign.
