Dallas Cowboys running back Ekeziel Elliott has admitted that the NFL rushing title will be on his mind entering Sunday's game against the New York Giants.
Elliott currently sits 183 yards ahead of Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley, so it seems likely that the Cowboys star will be able to capture his second rushing title since entering the league in 2016.
Of course, Dallas choosing to rest its starters could factor into Elliott's numbers, but he should be just fine when it comes to picking up yet another awesome achievement.
And he has made it perfectly clear that he plans on going after the title come Sunday, according to Calvin Watkins of The Athletic:
Zeke Elliott on the rushing title: “It's definitely on my mind. The plan is to go out there and play and approach this week the same we have been approaching the past weeks.”
Players like Elliott don't achieve major success without being an ultimate competitor, so it's easy to understand why he wants to rack up another rushing crown.

As for the Cowboys, they're officially set as the No. 4 seed in the NFC, which makes the game against the Giants rather meaningless.
But it's obvious that Elliott wants to play, and that decision will be left up to head coach Jason Garrett prior to kickoff.
Either way, behind Elliott's excellent playmaking skills, Dallas should have a chance to go far in the postseason.
