Known for his trash-talking and play that will back it up, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey is rarely one to praise his opposition. However, with Arlington being the destination of the Rams' next opponent, he has nothing but praise for Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper.

“Personally, in my opinion, I think he's one of the most underrated receivers in the league,” said Ramsey on Thursday, via Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.

Ramsey noted his lone match against Cooper as a reason for praise. He said that though he withheld the then-Oakland Raider to one catch for four yards, he felt as if the current Cowboy won the matchup.

“If you actually turn the film and look at, he was beating me up all game long,” said Ramsey on their battle three years ago. “Especially on the line. His releases, I was overly aggressive. He was really killing me off the line. “

Though the two previously played three years ago, Ramsey doesn't feel like there's much to take out from that game. Since they are three years removed, he says both of their games have evolved. The Pro-Bowl corner says, “the level of respect is there, but we've both evolved our games.”

On Sunday, Ramsey is expected to shadow Cooper. Both the Cowboys and Rams are in the must-win territory, which may make for one of the best wide receiver vs. cornerback battles of the 2019 campaign. For much of the game, it will be iron vs. iron in two of the NFL's best.
