Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made it no secret that he thinks the NFL handled the domestic violence case of Ezekiel Elliott poorly, so he has made it clear that he is keeping a close eye on how the league handles the Kareem Hunt situation.

The Cowboys star was suspended by the NFL six games over a domestic violence accusation even though he was never arrested or charged for the incident. Jones was making his weekly appearance on  105.3 The Fan in Dallas and said that he is going to be monitoring the Hunt situation closely.

“Yes, keeping a very close eye, and have a very keen interest in how this plays out. It’s a challenging area of what we’re about . . . everyone has zero tolerance for domestic abuse,” Jones said via Pro Football Talk.

It's interesting that Jones claims that there is a zero tolerance policy for domestic abuse because it's clear in his organization that isn't even the case. Just a few years ago he signed Greg Hardy after he served a suspension for domestic violence, so it's clear that he will sign a player that has dealt with that sort of issue, as long as it helps the team win.

It will be interesting to see if Jones makes a stink if Hunt doesn't have to serve as long as a suspension or is given special treatment. It seems that these comments are directed towards how they handle it compared to Zeke, but maybe he is thinking about signing Hunt to the team to try and make a one-two punch.
