The Dallas Cowboys entered the playoffs fresh off of a strong regular season but endured another early playoff exit. As a result, the Cowboys may need to make some important decisions in the 2022 NFL offseason in an effort to improve their team. Quarterback Dak Prescott spoke to Jori Epstein of USA Today and talked about the key role he wants to play this NFL offseason, via NBC Sports.
“I think that just depends on whether they ask me,” Prescott told Epstein. “I’m not going in and knocking on doors saying, ‘Hey, I want this done, I want that done.’ But I’m pretty sure that my opinion will be valued in certain decisions, as I hope. So with that being said, just plan on helping this team get better in every which way I can.”
Dak Prescott wants to be more involved in the Cowboys' decisions in the 2022 NFL offseason. Prescott said that he won't be authoritative and demand that things be done. However, the Cowboys' signal-caller said he expects that his “opinion will be valued in certain decisions.”
Some of the top quarterbacks in the league take a very proactive approach to their team's NFL offseason decisions, and Prescott, who is paid like a top quarterback, wants that responsibility with the Cowboys.
He clearly wants the Cowboys to get to the game's highest pinnacle after another playoff debacle and is willing to do whatever it takes to get them there.
