With training camp almost in full swing for the Dallas Cowboys, no player is more prepared to get back to the football field than center Travis Frederick. After having missed all of last season while recovering from Guillan-Barré Syndrome, he is trying to maximize his chance to regain the All-Pro level of performance he once established in Dallas.

When arriving to training camp on Thursday in Oxnard, California, Frederick had a very introspective take on the whole situation.

The Pro Bowl talent isn't on the physically unable to perform list. However, he isn't being rushed too quickly after undergoing offseason shoulder and abdominal surgeries. But Frederick is poised to show why he's one of the best offensive linemen in the league once he gets the full go for team drills.

I feel really good about where I am at both of those items. Obviously, I was still limited in minicamp because of the shoulder, but again that was mostly precautionary, so lifting and running and all the drills I’ve been doing all summer has felt good. I’ve said it for a long time: We won’t know until we put the pads on and see how it goes.

Once given the green light to play with the rest of his teammates, he'll try to get back to his usual dominance. At the end of the questions with the media, Frederick told everyone that he feels “very at ease.” Now all he needs to do is play football.
