Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tyron Smith is no stranger to injuries, as the star has been dealing with back problems for much of his NFL career and has not played a full season since 2015.

However, Smith is feeling very good at the moment, and he told Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News that he feels 2019 will be a great year for him physically:

“Every year you always have little nicks here and there, but it feels good coming into this year with no injuries,” said Smith. “I’m coming back faster and stronger.”

Smith missed three games in 2018, but when he was on the field, he was dominant, not allowing a single sack all season en route to his sixth straight Pro Bowl appearance.

The 28-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Southern California, was originally selected by the Cowboys with the ninth overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He has been a mainstay along Dallas' offensive line ever since, and by his third season in the league, he was a Pro Bowler and has been going to the Pro Bowl ever since.

In addition, Smith has earned a pair of First-Team All-Pro selections, most recently notching the honor in 2016.

Dallas is coming off of a season in which it won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title, marking the Cowboys' third division crown since 2014. They then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round the following week.
