The drama is never going to end, is it? And, like, I mean never. According to a new report that surfaced Friday morning, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will play this weekend.

For what it is worth, this goes against nearly everything that has been reported this week.

This is coming off the heels of a report that there might have been a conflict of interest with the last (prior to this one) ruling, which ruled the running back ineligible.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk did some investigative work himself about a key person involved in the case.

Florio discovered that Judge Katherine Polk Failla, who killed Elliott’s temporary restraining order on Monday, is the husband of one of the partners at a law firm that helped the NFL come out with a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The judicial questionnaire signed by Judge Failla in June 2012 includes this statement and commitment: “My husband is a partner at the law firm of Proskauer Rose LLP. I would recuse myself from any cases in which Proskauer Rose is a party or is representing a party.”

Ezekiel Elliott's latest attempt to block the six-game suspension from the NFL was denied on Tuesday, and yet, here we are. Yet another stay has been filed to allow him to play yet another game. This remains one of the most confusing legal situations in the history of the NFL. He's always “not going to play” until a few days later, when we find out he is.
