The Dallas Cowboys' comeback effort to best the New York Jets was almost complete. After a litany of yellow flags on a 10-play, 75-yard 2:41 minute drive, quarterback Dak Prescott punched in a four-yard rushing touchdown to narrow New York's eight-point lead down to two.

Unfortunately for Cowboys faithful, Prescott was unable to connect with tight end Jason Witten on the two-point conversion, as safety Jamal Adams came in screaming hot to knock him off his course.

Prescott's touchdown didn't win the game for the Cowboys, but it did tie Roger Staubach's record for the most rushing touchdown in franchise history (20). Despite doing so, Prescott and the Cowboys are probably going to do what they can to forget the disappointing loss.

In losing to the now 1-4 Jets, the Cowboys sit at 3-3 after a 3-0 start to the season. Luckily, their competition to win the NFC East, Philadelphia Eagles, also fell on Sunday, against the Minnesota Vikings, to make them 3-3.
