The Dallas Cowboys offseason could get interesting. Either they're going to make a ton of moves, or the front office will maintain the core of the roster. Considering their cap situation, the franchise could aim to make some big moves to get back under financial control.

The Cowboys have a number of notable names potentially hitting free agency. However, one that stands out is Michael Gallup. He could be a legitimate second option in the NFL. Even so, it might make sense for the Cowboys to bring him back, especially if they make a big move with another star receiver.

Most of the problems lie within the offensive line. It's not terrible, but the Cowboys need to make adjustments in this area. It'll be difficult to make the necessary moves, which means we could see them make surprising decisions regarding Amari Cooper and Ezekiel Elliott.

Here are our bold Cowboys offseason predictions.

Cowboys Offseason Predictions

4. Michael Gallup re-signs during free agency

Gallup should gain plenty of interest in free agency but the knee injury he suffered in the postseason could hinder how teams view him. He has already mentioned he is interested in returning to Dallas, which makes sense considering he plays well when healthy. We'll see how it plays out, but this would be a smart re-signing for the Cowboys.

3. Front office emphasizes restructuring the offensive line

It's not like the Cowboys have an awful offensive line, but it's time for the front office to bring in some youth to this group. Doing so will increase the longevity of the offense's success, which should allow Dak Prescott to continue playing at a high level. With a better offensive line, we should see Prescott get back to his normal self.

Furthermore, this creates a better situation for the rushing attack. The Cowboys are at their best when they can run the ball, which proved to be a bit of an issue last season. Improving the offensive line will go a long way for the Cowboys, as they can get back to elite status with these adjustments.

2. Cowboys trade Amari Cooper for a load of draft picks

This might come as a shock to many, but it's a real possibility. The Cowboys are struggling to find cap space and the quickest way to make some room is to trade Cooper. If they can receive a haul of draft picks, the front office can use them however they see fit. It might not be an ideal situation for the Cowboys, but it sets them up nicely in the long run.

1. Dallas surprisingly cuts Ezekiel Elliott

It's hard to imagine this actually comes to fruition, but this is a move the Cowboys should at least be considering. With Elliott's dead cap dropping from over $30 million to just over $11 million, Dallas has a potential out on the monster contract. The squad could save some money and put it towards bigger areas of need.

One reason we could see this move happen is the emergence of Tony Pollard. He's proven to be consistent with his opportunities and would serve as a solid option out of the backfield next year. This makes an incredible amount of sense if the Cowboys focus on improving the offensive line, as it could lead to a much better team overall. Keep an eye on Elliott, as he could be released during the offseason.
