The Dallas Cowboys are pursuing a possible reunion with former Pro Bowl receiver Dez Bryant.

Bryant has not played in the NFL since 2017, his final season with the Cowboys. The New Orleans Saints signed Bryant to a one-year deal in November of 2018, but he promptly suffered an Achilles injury that ended his season before it even began.
Dez announced he was looking to return to action this past November, but he was never allowed the opportunity to suit up.
Aside from the injury, Bryant's productivity dwindled in his final years in Dallas. He made First Team All-Pro in 2014, but managed to play just nine games in 2015. Dez missed three more games in 2016, and despite being healthy for the 2017 season, Bryant averaged a career-low 12.1 yards per reception.

My dream goals… I want to suit up in the blue and silver…the black and gold or black and purple…

The Cowboys will almost certainly bring back Amari Cooper, and Michael Gallup emerged as a legitimate threat after catching 66 passes for 1,107 yards and six touchdowns. But Randall Cobb and Tavon Austin are both headed to free agency, and the Cowboys will need to add some depth at wideout.
Although Dallas could look to bring back Cobb should he be willing to take a team-friendly deal, it seems likely Bryant would be more affordable.
Given past history–as well as Jones' affinity for Dez–there is a real chance Bryant could return to Dallas in 2020.
