The Denver Broncos have reportedly reached out to request an interview with current Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio about their head coaching position.
Denver decided to fire former head coach Vance Joseph on Monday, which didn't exactly come as a surprise after the Broncos lost four straight games to finish 6-10 overall on the season.
Joseph went 11-21 in his two seasons on the job, and now John Elway and company will turn their attention towards finding his replacement.
One coach the Broncos are already expressing interest in is Fangio, who is also expected to get a serious look by the Miami Dolphins and other teams with head coaching vacancies.
From ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter:

Given what Fangio has been able to accomplish with the Bears' defense, it should come as no shock at all that he is garnering a lot of attention in the coaching carousel.
He has a ton of NFL experience as a defensive coordinator, and he would instantly be someone that could revamp the Denver defense to get it back where it has been in the past.
But, there are other areas where the Broncos will need upgrades as well, so that will put a lot of pressure on Elway this offseason to get the right pieces in place for the new head coach.
