Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has spent the offseason nursing a torn achilles. Fortunately, he appears to be on track for a healthy return by the time the 2019 NFL season rolls around.
The Broncos have taken a cautious approach with Sanders recovery this offseason. He insists that he no longer feels pain when running routes, via Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic:

This is certainly an encouraging update coming from Sanders himself. He finished the 2018 campaign with 71 receptions for 868 receiving yards and four touchdowns before suffering the injury in early December. The severity of the injury raised plenty of concerns regarding the 32-year-old's timetable for a recovery, however, he appears to be in good shape moving forward.
The Broncos have ushered in some significant changes this offseason with the arrival of quarterback Joe Flacco. Although they are optimistic about their young talent in the receiving corps, Sanders is still the only proven option on the depth chart. His presence could serve as a stabilizing factor while they continue to develop.
Sanders is entering the final year of his current deal and is slated to make $10.15 million in base salary. He will need to show that he is still more than capable of serving as a viable option in the passing game at this point in his career.
