The Denver Broncos had a rough Sunday night. Apart from being the first victims of the New York Giants this season with a 23-10 loss, the Broncos were also bitten by the injury bug, as wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders went down with an ankle injury.
Sanders hurt his ankle in the third quarter after colliding with Giants safety Landon Collins while trying to catch a pass from Trevor Siemian. Sanders had to be assisted to the sideline before being carted off from the field. It wasn’t a good sign for the Broncos, who entered Week 6 ranked just 25th in the league in passing yards per game.
