Through his first eight seasons in the league, Denver Broncos star outside linebacker Von Miller has put together a highly productive career that has seen him establish himself as one of the premier pass rushers.
Miller has strung together yet another highly productive campaign as he's currently fourth in the NFL with 10.0 sacks, which has earned praise and admiration from Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin prior to the matchup between the Broncos this upcoming Sunday, according to Ryan Koenigsberg of BSN Denver.
Mike Tomlin on coaching Von Miller at the Pro Bowl:
“I thought he was an alien… He was a special player amongst special players… He came to me in the fourth quarter and said, ‘I got this’ and took over the game.”

Although the Broncos defense has struggled as a whole, Miller has continued to be that one constant on the outside with his elite pass rushing ability that has now seen him join DeMarcus Ware and Hall of Famer Reggie White as the only players to record double-digit sacks in seven out of his first eight seasons in the league including the last five straight years reaching that feat. Miller has proven to be a generation talent that has the unique physical ability to not only be a factor against the pass but also the run.
The 29-year-old is a game-changing talent that put that on display in last Sundays' 23-22 win over the Los Angeles Chargers as he had a sack along with an interception that he returned for 42 yards and a pass deflection. His performance in the contest helped earn him AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Miller can change the course of a game, which is something that Tomlin is keenly aware of ahead of their Week 12 matchup.
This should see Miller draw plenty of double teams and increased attention from the Steelers to limit his impact on the game. Beyond that, this is just some clear recognition from Tomlin to acknowledge the type of player that he has become through his first eight years in the league.
