Denver Broncos running back Phillip Linsday expects more involvement in the passing game in the 2019 NFL season.

This was what Linsday told NFL Network national reporter James Palmer on June 5.

Lindsay had a spectacular rookie season with the Broncos in 2018. He ran for 1,037 yards and nine touchdowns on 192 carries. As a result, he earned his first Pro Bowl berth. Moreover, he became the first undrafted offensive rookie in league history to get the nod.

Unfortunately, Lindsay injured his wrist in a loss to the Oakland Raiders on December 24. He underwent surgery to repair ligament damage, per ESPN's Jeff Legwold.

According to The Denver Post's Kyle Fredrickson, Lindsay will become a full practice participant once training camp kicks off. The latter said he's learning offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello's playbook. He also said he's going to work hard to become more productive in the 2019 NFL season.

Just be more patient with myself and more mature. We've got a whole different blocking scheme now, so it's learning that.

Now, it's about putting things together and knowing my role. For me, it's about making big plays.

This league stands for ‘Not For Long,' but you have to make it as long as you can, and that's by grinding every day.

It's about going there and earning coach's respect now…And I'll do that. That's the type of person I am. I never run away from anything.

Expect a more versatile Lindsay to take the field for the Broncos in 2019. He should help the Broncos return to the postseason after a three-year absence.
