The Denver Broncos are expected to among the few teams expected to be in the hunt for Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins in free agency that is set to begin in less than two weeks. The front office is tasked with address their glaring need to address their situation under center.
There has been some growing noise that Cousins had already narrowed down his choices with the Broncos possibly being on the outside looking in. However, Mike Klis of 9News has clarified that Denver is in fact well in the mix to potentially garner the 29-year-old's services later this month.

Despite these recent rumblings that Cousins has cut down his choices to the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets, it appears that there is no clarity at this point of where he will wind up. The Broncos are anticipated to make an “all-in” push to acquire the seventh-year quarterback in free agency.

Cousins is widely regarded as being the top quarterback in this year's crop of available talent on the open market. He has established himself as one of the better players at his position in the league after posting three straight seasons with more than 4,000 passing yards and 25 touchdown passes.
Denver could present an intriguing landing spot to Cousins due to their stout defensive unit that is still regarded as being one of the best in the league. Meanwhile, they also possess a couple of proven offensive weapons at skilled positions with wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.
There is the potential that Cousins could also take a serious look at the Vikings, who have constructed a promising roster with arguably the best defense in the league along with a talented offense that has several Pro Bowl caliber players. He could easily step in under center and pick back off where Case Keenum left off this past season. What this all points to more than anything else is that the Broncos are right in the fray as a serious contender to land Cousins.
