The Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions made a big splash earlier this offseason when they swapped quarterbacks, and now they just made another deal. This time, it's Michael Brockers going from the Rams to the Lions.
The move didn't come without a little drama. Before dishing him away, the Rams' front office apparently asked Brockers to adjust his contract to help with their salary cap situation, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, but they couldn't come to terms:
The #Rams had asked DL Michael Brockers to adjust his contract. The two sides couldn’t come to terms. Now he’s headed to Detroit. https://t.co/YL4ecekqTC

Additionally, this of course comes after Michael Brockers shared his opinion on the Matthew Stafford-Jared Goff trade that took place back in February. He certainly. didn't know he'd be traded when he was asked about Stafford becoming his new teammate and whether he was an upgrade over Goff.
He replied, “Is it a level up? In my heart, deeply, just understanding what he brings, it's a level up. It's a level up.”
Stafford is so nice, Brockers said it twice, but now he's heading to Detroit to reunite with Goff. This led to hilarious memes on social media poking fun at the Lions' new defensive end for his statements now that he's playing with Goff again.
It's likely this won't stir up many problems in the locker room, as Goff is professional and probably understands why Michael Brockers made the comment he did. Their best approach to the situation is humor, as laughing it off would be the best way to deter the media from creating a negative storyline.
