Packers star Aaron Rodgers doesn’t sound like he’s hanging it up anytime soon

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still playing at an extremely high level, and he's not looking to retire anytime soon.

Despite now being 37 years young, retirement appears to be far on the horizon for Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Recently, the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player opened up about his tenure with the Packers, while also hinting at what he believe the future holds for him in Green Bay.

According to Rodgers, he will forever be grateful to the franchise that brought him on as a 21-year-old prospect after he slipped in the 2005 NFL Draft:

“I’ve really enjoyed all the special moments here, so many of them,” Rodgers said, via Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal. “I just feel really fortunate to have grown up here and just have a lot of great memories that I’ve made here that I’ll take with me one day. Hopefully, that day isn’t too soon.”

At this point, it's hard to imagine that Rodgers is going to be hanging up his boots soon. He's in the midst of one of the best seasons of his career, and while there has been some talk about the future Hall of Famer passing the baton to rookie quarterback Jordan Love in the near future, Rodgers' outstanding play has put those rumors aside — for the time being at least.

Rodgers is not going to be around forever, though, and being that he is no spring chicken anymore, he is now likely entering the twilight of his career. We all best enjoy the great Aaron Rodgers while we still can.

The Packers are 8-3 and well on their way to winning the NFC North.
