There are a lot of unknowns when it comes to who the Green Bay Packers will hire as their new head coach, but could Cleveland offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens be a potential candidate?

The Packers have managed to win back-to-back games since the firing of Mike McCarthy following the disappointing home loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and mathematically, the team still has a shot at making the playoffs.

However, there's no doubt that Green Bay fans have turned their attention to possible coaching candidates, with plenty of coaches likely interested in the opportunity to work for such a storied franchise.

And having Aaron Rodgers under center doesn't exactly hurt, either.

Does Kitchens have aspirations of being a head coach in the NFL? Well, he answered that question pretty directly on Thursday:

And then came this response from Cheesehead TV co-founder Aaron Nagler, which sparked the thought of exploring Kitchens as a potential option in what figures to be a long list of candidates:

Kitchens has done an excellent job working with Baker Mayfield in Cleveland, and as a veteran coach in the league, he'll likely get a chance to interview for head coaching jobs due to that type of success.

The Browns still have a lot of work to do to become a successful franchise year in and year out, but the revamped offense has certainly helped the team improve drastically.

As for the Kitchens fit in Green Bay? There are obviously a ton of unknowns, as there's zero evidence at this point that he will even be on the Packers radar when candidates start being interviewed.

But knowing that he's made it quite clear as to what his aspirations are in the league, it wouldn't be surprising to see him get a look in several coaching searches given what he's been able to accomplish with the Browns' offense.

And given the offensive playmakers on the current roster, the Packers would at least be an interesting fit should Kitchens decide to pursue head coaching jobs this offseason rather than stay with the Browns.
