Week 12 did not go very well for the Green Bay Packers. Heading into the week with an 8-2 record, they got absolutely smoked by the San Francisco 49ers by a final score of 37-8.
However, Green Bay is still 8-3 and one of the better teams in the NFL. In fact, they still have pretty high Super Bowl odds, coming in with the seventh-best mark.

While the Packers are obviously a lot higher than most teams in the NFL, they still aren't exactly “favorites.”
Green Bay is at +1700, while the New England Patriots lead the pack (no pun intended) with +300. For reference, the 49ers just walloped the Packers and they are at +650 with the fourth-best odds, still a big difference from Green Bay.
The Packers' odds will be changing a lot the rest of the way. That will come due to injuries, either to them or other teams, as well as how each team plays.
Article Continues BelowGreen Bay could still get home field advantage as well. That could factor in pretty heavily. If they manage that, the odds would likely go up quite a bit. Especially considering they are 5-1 at Lambeau Field this season.
The odds will be changing a lot in upcoming weeks. Green Bay could easily see their odds jump up a little bit, especially with their next two games coming against the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins.
Those could be two serious statement wins. Blowouts even. And with those two probably being wins, losses for any team ahead of them in the odds could put the Packers in a better position in just a few short weeks.
So if you feel now is the time to cash-in on the Packers' odds go for it. If you wait for a few weeks, you might not get such a high “+.”
