The Green Bay Packers have had a rough season. They came into their season finale against the Detroit Lions with a record of 6-8-1 just looking to end things on a relatively positive note.

Well, they certainly didn't do that in the first quarter, totaling just 13 yards of offense over the first 15 minutes, per Aaron Nagler of CheeseheadTV.

This won't do quarterback Aaron Rodgers any favors, as Rodgers has been criticized by everyone from former Packers players to writers to fans.

Green Bay is missing the playoffs for the second straight year, marking the first time the Packers have failed to qualify for the postseason in back-to-back seasons since 2006. Last year, Green Bay won just seven games and missed the playoffs, largely due to the fact that Rodgers missed most of the season with a broken collarbone.

What's the excuse in 2018?

Rodgers has been on the field all season, but it hasn't resulted in anything positive. As a matter of fact, after a horrific loss to the Arizona Cardinals earlier in the month, the Packers fired long-time head coach Mike McCarthy, whom Rodgers had apparently been butting heads with.

Rodgers' souring relationship with McCarthy is just one of the numerous reasons he has taken such a hit in terms of his reputation this season, with many questioning his leadership abilities overall and some even wondering if he is worth his contract.

Of course, all of the backlash Rodgers has received seems a bit extravagant, as he has still thrown for 4,416 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just two interceptions while completing 62.3 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 97.8.
