The Mike McCarthy came to an abrupt end after he spent 13 seasons with the team. There's a new story that broke out today about how the reign of the Packers crumbled rapidly.
According to Tyler Dunne of Bleacher Report, there were defensive players who believed that McCarthy was solely focused on just the offensive aspects of the team.

He was never around their drills, the former starter says, and it was always the defense sprinting to the offense's side of the field for team drills.
“What guys did on defense did not matter,” he says. “This is an offensive-minded team, and our quarterback is expected to bail us out. As defenders, we used to always talk about it. It's like, ‘We whupped their ass today in camp. Are they going to finally run to us? Respect us?'”
When a new head coach who was an offensive coordinator arrives, it remains talked about how much of his focus will be on the offense. As a head coach, you have to find the perfect balance of spending time with the offense and defense.
Nonetheless, McCarthy decided to give the cold shoulder to the defensive side of the ball. As a result, it was part of the reason that McCarthy's time in Green Bay began to dwindle down.
The center of the issues of everything wrong that led to the demise of the Packers in recent years was McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers.
McCarthy was the odd man out and it may have been more than warranted according to these recent reports.
