After a nice 2018-19 season the Houston Texans have high expectations for next season, but to reach their goals, there are some questions they need to get cleaned up.
Let's breakdown the three burning questions the team needs to get answered before the start of next season.
What will Jadeveon Clowney do?
The biggest question the Houston Texans this offseason is what will happen with Jadeveon Clowney? Clowney was the number one overall pick in 2014 and is set to hit the free agency market for the first time and it needs to be a priority that the team gets him back.
Clowney struggled to start his career because he couldn't seem to stay on the field. He has been healthier the last few years and he and J.J. Watt have been a force.
Clowney is going to get paid big, maybe even a bigger contract than what J.J. Watt received, but the team needs to make sure they lock him up.
How does the offensive line improve?
On offense, the Texans need to find some answers on way to fix the offensive line because it's pretty clear that last years performance was nowhere near close to good enough.
They allowed Deshaun Watson to be sacked 62 times and they can't keep letting their franchise quarterback be on the ground.
After re-signing Clowney it's important the team focuses on what they can do to fix the offensive line and get better play out of them next year.
How can the Texans Improve at tight end?
Another area that needs to be improved for the Texans is at tight end.
Ryan Griffin led the Texans at tight end last year hauling in 24 receptions for 305 yards but he didn't catch a touchdown.
They need to give Watson a go-to tight end threat that might also help up the field for the rest of the wide receivers.
If the Texans don't improve that position this offseason, that has to be considered a major failure on the front office.
