Another aspect that deserves our attention is how the Texans post was actually the first job opening in the offseason. Houston took some time to finally land at their decision, letting more than a few names pass them by. Nevertheless, they have landed a more than capable man for the job in Culley.

The 65-year-old will have his hands full in his first year as an NFL head coach as he inherits more than a few issues in Houston. Culley is an offensive-minded coach, and he is expected to make some drastic improvements in the Texans' offense, which did not have much to show for at all last season.
