There has been plenty of optimism surrounding the Houston Texans going into the 2018 NFL season. Not only did they manage to make some solid additions this offseason, but they have made some serious progress with the health of several of their star players.

Among them is quarterback Deshaun Watson. According to Tyler Jackson of the Register-Herald, is good to go for the start of training camp.

Deshaun Watson is a full go says Texans GM Brian Gaine, but the team will be smart with him.

It appears the Texans will take a similar approach with defensive end J.J. Watt.

Watt is also cleared and the team will be smart with him as well. D’Onta Foreman is still a work in progress.

It should come as no surprise to see Houston will be cautious with their transition. Watt and Watson are undoubtedly the biggest stars on the team. The last thing the Texans need is any setbacks in training camp.

Watt's reputation around the league speaks for itself. However, there is still some concern regarding Watson's progression as he comes back from injury. The former 12th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft established himself as one of the most promising, young quarterbacks in the league last year. He threw for 1,699 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in six starts before a torn ACL ended his stellar rookie campaign. That said, there is plenty of hype surrounding his return this year.

Watson himself has been vocal about the Texans' potential on offense in the 2018 NFL season. It will be interesting to see how he fares now that teams have gotten a chance to study more film on him.
