Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a nasty injury during his team's win over the Oakland Raiders last Sunday, as he took an inadvertent cleat to the eye.

Although it sounds gruesome, the injury was not severe enough to knock Watson out of the game, and he seems to be in line to play this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

However, he may have to do so with some extra headgear.

In order to protect his left eye, Watson is considering wearing a visor on Sunday, but he is not yet sure what he is going to do.

“We’re just kind of going with the flow and seeing how the week kind of goes,” Watson said, per Mark Lane of Texans Wire. “I’ve worn a visor before. It’s not a big deal, but it’s something that we’ll know as the week continues.”

Watson completed 27 of his 39 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns against the Raiders and also threw the game-winning streak with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, after the eye injury occurred.

On the season overall, Watson has thrown for 2,231 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 69.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 105.7. He has also rushed for 242 yards and five scores.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Clemson, was originally selected by the Texans with the 12th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

A torn ACL cut his rookie campaign short, but he played in all 16 games last year, finishing with 4,165 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine picks, en route to his first Pro Bowl appearance.
