Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck recently admitted that the shoulder injury he suffered during the 2015-16 offseason was caused by a snowboarding accident in Colorado. This injury was unrelated to the torn labrum he suffered early on in the 2015 season.

From ESPN.com:

“This was after the initial injury,” Luck told NFL Network. “I went back, rehabbed it with the Colts. I've had a bunch of AC sprains, both left and right shoulder, and resolved that issue. But the labrum has been my issue, was my issue, what I worked through, what I got surgery on.”

Without Luck, the Colts went 4-12 and ended up firing their head coach.

“I've seen more doctors than I can count on two hands over the past two or three years,” Luck said, “and the consensus — unanimous — is that the AC is not an issue, nor did it have an effect. The labrum is an issue.”

Luck played his first regular season game in nearly two years today in their season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. While it was a losing effort, he was impressive. He connected on 39 of 53 passing attempts for 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. His utilized 9 different receivers in their 23-34 loss.

The Stanford product looked like he never stepped away from the game. He is their best shot at a successful season this year. They'll live with a Week 1 loss if it means the team can continue to build chemistry with their quarterback and make a playoff run.

They have the talent and the drive to win. It's just a matter of time before the Colts begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
