Indianapolis Colts star quarterback Andrew Luck is dealing with what's being deemed as a minor foot injury that has ailed him over the last few days.
There has been much concern about the situation from the Colts that would impact his availability in any manner for the season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. According to Zak Keefer of the Indy Star, head coach Frank Reich has voiced that Luck will be back on the practice next week.
This from coach Frank Reich, on Andrew Luck's minor foot injury: "Doing well. He'll be there Monday ready to go for next week."

The Colts are likely just taking the precautionary approach with the situation over the next few days that should take him out of action for the preseason finale on Thursday night. It was likely the game plan to rest him for that contest to have him healthy and ready to go for Week 1. This break from the practice field should give him plenty of time for his foot to heal ahead of the start of next season as the team is counting on him to lead the charge offensively as the centerpiece to the puzzle.
The 28-year-old has had his fair share of ups and downs in the preseason as he has worked his way back into form after missing the entire 2017 season due to shoulder surgery that occurred more than 1 1/2 years ago. He has been able to play in all three of the first preseason games where he has completed 20 of 32 passes for 204 yards with a touchdown and an interception. There has been more improvement with the more time he has gotten on the field while he has voiced more confidence in his ability.
What this means more than anything else is that Luck is gearing up to be ready to take the field for the season opener where he will have the task of pushing the Colts back into the playoffs after missing it in each of the last three years.
