Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been named Comeback Player of the Year by the staff at Pro Football Focus after a stellar regular season.

After an injury to his throwing shoulder kept him sidelined during the 2017 season, many wondered if he would be the same player would he was finally able to return to action.

Of course, he provided an emphatic answer to that question this season, as he was the main driving force in helping the Colts completely turn their season around after a 1-5 start.

And in what is certainly not a surprise, his efforts have been enough to earn him a prestigious honor from Pro Football Focus.

Luck threw for 4,953 yards and 39 touchdowns during the regular season while posting a 98.7 quarterback rating.

Several of his top playmakers in both the running and passing attack missed games due to injuries, yet he was still able to get the ball in the right spot to help Indy win eight of its final nine games.

After such a slow start, there were no guarantees that the Colts would be able to start moving in the right direction. But it was Luck that made big throw after big throw to make it extremely difficult for opposing defenses to slow down the team's high-powered offense.

The Colts will now try to pick up their second straight win over the Houston Texans when the two teams meet at NRG Stadium on Saturday in a highly anticipated AFC Wild Card matchup.
