The fans of the Indianapolis Colts didn't handle Andrew Luck's retirement with class but that didn't stop the now-retired quarterback from showing his appreciation for them.
On Sunday morning, Luck thanked fans with a full-page ad in an Indianapolis newspaper.

On what seemed to be a regular Saturday night of preseason football last week, the news broke that Luck was going to retire from the NFL. Following the Colts' preseason game against the Chicago Bears, the crowd booed Luck as he exited the field.
The Colts quarterback gave his all to the city of Indianapolis for seven seasons. Over the course of those seven seasons, Luck had suffered a plethora of injuries that hindered his playing career.
Among the injuries, the passionate signal-caller suffered a lacerated kidney, fractured ribs, and a torn labrum. During his retirement speech, Luck exclaimed that he felt the “cycle” of injuries that he has gone through has taken his joy of the game from him.
Therefore, the only way he saw as a way to bring joy back to his life was to step away from the physical game of football. Some people believed it was a selfish decision, but it was absolutely a selfless choice.
Luck gave his all for seven years and put the team first ahead of his well-being. But there is only so much pain one can go through before it becomes too much for someone to endure.
The most important aspect of Luck's retirement was that the 29-year-old quarterback seemed content with his decision. Recently married, Luck has plans for his life beyond football and the fans should celebrate what he brought to the franchise; instead of feeling ill-willed towards him for making a choice that was in his best interests.
