New Indianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz has been proactive about reaching out to his teammates.
But the overly emphatic nature of his texting has become the subject of some humorous chiding. Ian Cohen of The Ringer joked Wentz âtexts like an NBA MyCareer teammateâ after Colts safety Julian Blackmon posted a message he received from Wentz to his Snapchat Story.
Still, Wentz is clearly making an effort to establish a rapport with the guys in the locker room. He also FaceTimed with nickel corner Kenny Moore.

The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback certainly appears happy to be with the Colts. He arrived in Indianapolis earlier Friday morning, appearing almost giddy to be in a new situation.

Time will tell whether Wentz really is the franchise quarterback the Colts hope he can be heading into 2021.
Wentz struggled mightily in his final season with the Eagles, going 3-8-1 in 12 starts and sharing the league lead in interceptions (15). He was benched for rookie Jalen Hurts and went through a rather ugly breakup with the franchise that drafted him No. 2 overall in 2016.
But there is reason to believe the 28-year-old could thrive in Indianapolis. He is back with Colts head coach Frank Reich, who guided Wentz to an NFL-best 78.5 total QBR as Eagles offensive coordinator in 2017. The Colts also have one of the top offensive lines in football, as well as a balanced rushing attack anchored by Jonathan Taylor.
If nothing else, Wentz has won over his new teammates with early signs of leadership, even if that leadership makes him akin to a video game character.
