The Indianapolis Colts will hold an introductory press conference for new quarterback Carson Wentz on Thursday, but Wentz's old media pals aren't invited.

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the Colts plan to host a Zoom press conference, though they will not take questions from the Philadelphia media.

It appears Carson Wentz is intently focused on the next chapter of his football career with the Colts. He seems to have no interest in rehashing his Philly days, though his Eagles tenure would obviously still be fair game for local reporters in Indy as well as national correspondents.

Perhaps Wentz feels he was painted in a bad light in the City of Brotherly Love? Maybe things were taken out of context?

Regardless, the former No. 2 overall pick has wasted little time getting acclimated to his new surroundings since news broke of his trade to the Colts.

Wentz has made a point of reaching out to teammates and building relationships early. The 28-year-old should have every opportunity to be the franchise quarterback in Indianapolis.

While Wentz struggled in 2020, he was hardly in the most ideal of situations. The Eagles lacked quality receiving depth and were ravaged by injuries on the offensive line.

Alternatively, the Colts have one of the better offensive lines in football. Indy also has young and talented pass-catchers like Michael Pittman Jr., Zach Pascal and (if healthy) Parris Campbell. Indianapolis might also bring back T.Y. Hilton or try to sign someone like Kenny Golladay in free agency.

Wentz is taking over a Colts team seemingly on the rise. It seems he would rather not harken back to his time with the Eagles, which ended with nothing but bitterness and frustration.
