The Indianapolis Colts managed to add to their receiving corps with the signing of former Carolina Panthers wideout Devin Funchess. It seems Funchess has high expectations for his future in Indianapolis.
Funchess had a number of teams to choose from in free agency this offseason. According to Zak Keefer of the IndyStar, quarterback Andrew Luck ultimately played a huge factor in his decision to join the Colts.

These are certainly some bold comments from Funchess. Of course, there is certainly some truth to them considering the Colts' current situation. Indianapolis has been on the rise ever since the return of Luck. Now armed with more assets for a rebuild than any other team, they seem poised to become serious championship contenders for years to come and it is clear Funchess wants to be a part of it.
Devin Funchess will make for an ideal addition to this Colts receiving corps. Despite the greatness of Luck, it was no secret that Indianapolis would be looking to surround him with as much firepower as possible. The Colts already have a bonafide No.1 wide receiver in T.Y. Hilton and one of the NFL's best pass-catching tight ends in Eric Ebron.
Funchess will have an opportunity to etch out an integral role as the No. 2 option on offense. Unlike the speedy Hilton, his size will make him a big target for Luck to throw to in tight situations.
