A knee injury is something a lot of football teams are extremely careful about. The Indianapolis Colts were certainly cautious when Jacoby Brissett went down with an MCL injury during their narrow loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.
Fortunately for Colts fans, it seems like there wasn't anything serious with the injury he sustained. The MRI results came back and reported that the MCL sprain was nothing serious to worry about.
The 24-year-old QB was understandably thrilled to know that he should be able to play sooner rather than later.

He and the team were still tight-lipped whether he'd be able to return on time against the Miami Dolphins. However, his teammates are confident that he'll be able to suit up in time for the game.
“Nothing would surprise me at this point,” Colts center Ryan Kelly said. “He’s a tough-[expletive] guy, and ever since Day One, he’s prepared himself that way. I have no doubts. If he’s in there, he’ll kill it.”
He's had a solid first season as the Colts' first-choice quarterback. Through eight games, he's thrown for a total of 1649 passing yards and 14 touchdowns. His completion rate is at a career-high 64.8%, and he's only made three interceptions so far.
He's needed to stop a Miami Dolphins team that just won their first game of the season over the New York Jets. And if he performs as well as he's done this season, a Colts win is all but secured.
