The Indianapolis Colts held a press conference on Sunday to discuss some of their more urgent offseason storylines. While speaking about the offense, Jim Irsay claims that ‘all options are on the table' at the quarterback position.

“I can’t talk about any specific player,” Irsay said, via Andrew Walker of the team’s website. “I will say that all options are open. . . . All options are on the table. I’ve never quite been in a year when this was so unusual, if you will.”

This was the response that Irsay gave when he was asked about the possibility of signing a veteran quarterback this offseason. In addition, Irsay believes that Jacoby Brissett needs time to develop into a starter in the NFL. However, it remains to be seen if that will transpire in Indianapolis.

Following the end of the 2018 season, there was nothing but optimism for the Colts. Andrew Luck was looking healthy again and the offense looked rejuvenated with Frank Reich at head coach.

But in an unfortunate turn of events, Luck retired before the 2019 season kicked off. As a result, the Colts were inclined to turn to Brissett as their starting signal-caller.

After an inconsistent campaign from Brissett, Indianapolis has quite a few options they can consider. In terms of free agency, Philip Rivers, Teddy Bridgewater, or even Tom Brady could be viable targets. Some people believe Rivers is a likely candidate due to his previous experience with Colts' offensive coordinator, Nick Sirianni.

On the other hand, the Colts also own the No. 13 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Given that, there's a chance that Indianapolis trades up for someone or tries to wait for Jordan Love to fall into their lap. Nevertheless, Irsay has the utmost confidence in the Colts making the right choice.
