Former NFL player Louis Riddick now plies his trade with ESPN as an analyst for the network's Monday Night Football broadcast. The 53-year-old has been making a bit of noise in the scene, and his latest hot take is sure to raise more than a few eyebrows.

Riddick recently decided to engage with a FanDuel Twitter survey asking about which rookie is set to shock the NFL next season. Instead of picking one of the top guys from the class, Riddick decided to turn his attention to Indianapolis Colts newcomer Alec Pierce:

The survey did not require any explanation so Louis Riddick did not provide any details with regard to his pick. What we can say for sure, however, is that he's extremely high on the Colts' 22-year-old wide receiver.

Naturally, the same is the case for Indianapolis. H1ead coach Frank Reich recently shared his thoughts on Pierce, and it is clear that the Colts see a lot of potential in this young man:

“I think we have high expectations for him but have a lot of confidence in that whole room as you guys know. Alec (Pierce), one of the things we like about him is he’s a very smart guy. He really has learned the offense quickly,” Reich said, via Kevin Hickey of USA TODAY SPORTS.

“He’s done a good job so he’s going to have to compete for every snap, right? It’s a very competitive group. But yeah, we’re definitely pushing him. We’re definitely pushing him and want him to compete to get in the mix and get on the field.”

Pierce, a former Cincinnati standout, was selected by the Colts as the 53rd overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He isn't exactly one of the most high-profile rookies out there, but it seems that we could all be in for a surprise.
