The Indianapolis Colts are hoping to make some noise in the 2022 season, as the AF South has become a wide-open race for this franchise and the Tennessee Titans. However, Indianapolis has been facing a tough decision regarding Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore II. He's been in contract negotiations with the front office, but it appears some good news has come to light.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Pro Bowl cornerback is in the building on Monday for a physical. Although this technically does not guarantee his return, it's a good sign for the Colts moving forward. Moore has not been present for any voluntary OTAs and it has been feared he would skip mandatory minicamp until a deal was reached.

Even so, the fact he's showing up for a physical at the Colts' facilities is a great sign for Indianapolis. Typically, a player doesn't get a physical unless he intends to sign with that organization. Whether he passes, or not, is yet to be determined, but this is a great first step toward Kenny Moore II to sign a new contract soon.
If the Colts hope to maintain their defense then they'll need Moore to re-sign. He capped off a career year in 2021, totaling 102 tackles, 13 pass deflections, four interceptions, a forced fumble, and one sack. Kenny Moore II was a monster last season and Indianapolis could use his presence on the field for the long term.
Keep an eye on the Colts and Kenny Moore II, as a deal may come to fruition in the coming weeks. If not, then Indianapolis could take a hit in the secondary they can't afford to lose.
