Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck shocked everybody with his decision to retire, but not everybody is buying that the move is permanent.

Right after Luck said he was stepping away, talk turned to a potential comeback down the line.

On Monday's episode of ‘Undisputed' on FS1, Shannon Sharpe declared himself among the crowd who thinks he'll come back at some point.

When asked on a scale of 1-10 how likely he thought Luck was to make a return, Sharpe replied:

“8.5-9. I think he needs a physical, and a mental, and an emotional break. I just think going into the season injured, having to rehab during the season. Being out, don't know for certain, but I'm saying he's gonna be out at least two months of the season, was more than he was willing to take.”

Sharpe said he thinks if Luck “can get his mind refreshed” by a little time away from the game, he might feel differently.

“I think the thing is he just needed a break,” he continued.

Sharpe also highlighted Colts owner Jim Irsay's decision to not try to recoup any of Luck's bonus money from his contract. Sharpe argues that was a gesture of goodwill designed to keep the relationship positive between the two sides in the event that Luck does decide to come back.

Luck is still only 29, so he'll have a long time before the door is actually shut on returning to football.

Even five years from now if he hasn't played a down, rumors will still be swirling about a potential Luck comeback.
