While emotions are still settling during Andrew Luck's retirement, there have been rumors that the Indianapolis Colts knew of his retirement in March. Indianapolis insists that they didn't know of his decision until this week.

In a shocking revelation on Saturday, Luck decided to walk away from the game of football at the age of 29. The Colts quarterback made the decision solely on the “cycle” of injuries that he has been through over the past four seasons.

After the Colts' preseason game against the Chicago Bears, Luck held a press conference with the media and spoke about his surprising decision. Near the end of it, Luck answered a question on when the idea of retiring entered his head.

Immediately, Luck said that he didn't fathom retirement until around a week ago. Therefore, it's unlikely that the team knew that this was a possibility five months ago.
