There was a moment earlier in the season when Adam Vinatieri contemplated retiring with the Indianapolis Colts. Luckily for the Colts, he didn't, and on Sunday he nailed a game-winning field goal to defeat the Denver Broncos.

Earlier in this game, Vinatieri had missed a 45-yard field goal and an extra point. Nevertheless, the ageless kicker didn't let that deter him from delivering the Colts the victory in the waning seconds.
After Jacoby Brissett led a productive drive down the field, Vinatieri was able to put the ball through the uprights from 51-yards out. Altogether, Vinatieri made three of his four field-goal attempts—including two from 50 or more yards.
At 46-years-old, Vinatieri may not be as efficient as he once was but he'll never lose the clutch gene he manifested during his time with the New England Patriots.
