The Indianapolis Colts were officially eliminated from playoff contention after their loss to the New Orleans Saints. In turn, means it's time to start looking forward to the offseason.
Let's breakdown three early needs for the Colts offseason.
3. A strong second wide receiver
There are a lot of teams in the NFL with dynamic duos out wide, and the Colts need to find that. The Colts still have T.Y. Hilton out wide for at least one more year, and even though he has been banged up he is still a great wideout. Indy does need to find another wide receiver who can step up if Hilton is out again with injury, but can also line up and be that dynamic duo.
There are going to be some good options in free agency or trade that they can go after. Amari Cooper, AJ Green, and Robby Anderson are just a few options they could look at.
The Colts could also go the trade route, targeting someone like Odell Beckham Jr.
2. Cornerback
Kenny Moore and Pierre Desir are both fine cornerbacks, but it's a place the team could use a real upgrade. The pass defense has been the weakness on defense this year.

No matter how much the Colts are going to spend, they need to find some upgrades.
1. Quarterback
Finding a quarterback in free agency for the future might be tough, but they need to find someone to push Jacoby Brissett either in the draft or free agency.
Brissett has no guaranteed money after this season and the second half of the season has proven he isn't the long term option for the Colts.
Even with the Colts decide to bring him back next season, the team needs to bring someone else and make it an open competition in camp. IF nothing else, hopefully, it will improve Brissett and make the team better.
