Travis Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs have had a bit of time to think about the loss in the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots and the star tight end is still shocked just how aggressive and physical the Patriots were.
Kelce knew they were going to be aggressive and they practiced for it all week, but the Patriots grabbed and held a little more at the line of scrimmage than what they expected.

Physically aggressive at the line of scrimmage, grabbing, holding, and just getting off of that man coverage it took us a little while.”
“At times when we were finally getting off man coverage, Pat (Patrick Mahomes) was kind of under duress back there. All in all, I hate to say it but we weren’t ready for it. In the second half we came out firing because we were.”
Kelce also said he really thinks the Chiefs should have gotten a chance to get the ball but the rules are in place for a reason, so he can't complain too much about that. Kelce said as frustrating as it is, all the team can do now is learn about the loss and use it as motivation for next year.
“It’s frustrating seeing the outcome and that it took us a whole half just to catch up and try and take it into overtime,” Kelce said. “Being that much better next year, being more aware next year, that’s all I can focus on now and trying not to hang my hat on what happened in the game.”
