The Oakland Raiders have activated wide receiver Antonio Brown from the non-football injury list, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.
Brown was dealing with a minor issue on the first day of training camp late last week, but now, he has been cleared to practice with the team.
The 31-year-old arrived to Napa Valley in style on Friday, showing up to training camp in a hot air balloon. Shortly after Brown posted a Twitter video of his trip, it was announced that he would be hitting the non-football injury list.
It is not believed that Brown sustained any sort of injury in the hot air balloon (there's a sentence I never thought I would type).
The Raiders acquired Brown in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers back in March, sending a third-round draft pick and a fifth-rounder to the Steelers in exchange.
Brown, who played his collegiate football at Central Michigan, was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the sixth round (195th pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft and went on to spend his first nine seasons with the Steelers, making seven Pro Bowls and earning four First-Team All-Pro selections along the way.
However, due to his tenuous relationship with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, head coach Mike Tomlin and Pittsburgh's organization as a whole, Brown requested a trade following the 2018 campaign.
Brown is coming off of a season in which he played 15 games and hauled in 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a league-leading 15 touchdowns, resulting in his sixth straight Pro Bowl appearance.
