Antonio Brown is being sued by a famed athletic trainer who says the Oakland Raiders superstar has refused to pay him for services rendered last April in Northern California.

According to TMZ, Sean Pena has filed a lawsuit seeking $7,194.81 from Brown “unpaid therapy and training services; agreed-upon reimbursement for hotels, airfare, rental car, and [miscellaneous fees], in addition to late penalties disclosed on accepted invoice.” The case is set to go to trial in October unless the parties involved reach a settlement before the scheduled court date.

Brown's attorney, Darren Heitner, denied that his client has yet to pay Pena what he's owed.

“Mr. Brown has already paid the Plaintiff everything that he was due. The Plaintiff has no foundation for coming after Mr. Brown, and we will ensure that this case disposed of quickly,” Heitner told TMZ Sports in a statement.

The training in question reportedly took place at the University of California-Berkeley in April, a few weeks after Brown had been traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Raiders, who play a short drive from campus. Pena's Instagram is flooded with photos and videos of Brown working out both by himself and with other NFL players. Pena is featured in some of the posts, too, including in a photo of him relaxing with Brown on a boat.

In a statement provided to TMZ, Pena's attorney claimed that Brown has “intentionally chosen to ignore Pena’s claim for unpaid trainer services,” and that his client is “one of many trainers that Brown has stiffed.”
