Odell Beckham Jr. figures to play a significant role for the Los Angeles Rams in their quest for a Super Bowl win on Sunday. The wide receiver, however, is apparently still thinking about his ex.

OBJ forced his way off the Cleveland Browns in the middle of the season, ultimately ending up with the Rams in a move that's paid huge dividends for the 3-time Pro Bowler. However, he expressed regret with how things turned out with his former team.

“One of the biggest regrets that I have about the way things ended is I just didn’t get — it’s like having a breakup but there really was no closure and it’s kind of just like you go, that’s just it,” Odell Beckham Jr. said ahead of the Rams' Super Bowl clash with the Bengals. “One thing I’ve always been big on in my life is closure. Because I feel like if doors are not closed, they’re always still open. Just having to leave, leave these guys that are your brothers, you have lifetime friendships with, and it just happened so abruptly.”

“A lot of things were out of my control,” the Rams WR continued. “By the time I woke up, the video was already posted, it just was unfortunate. Sometimes things go that way in life and you just have to roll with the punches. I just think about, here I am now and just making the most of the opportunity that I have.”

It's hard to be sympathetic towards Odell Beckham Jr. claiming that things were “out of his control” considering he reportedly was vocal in his desire to leave the team. When you give a team an ultimatum to trade you or allow you to move on to another franchise, it's rare that they give you the leeway to say your goodbyes before you have to go.

But at the end of the day, Odell Beckham Jr. ended up in the best situation possible. It's easier to look back on your past with rose-colored glasses when things worked out for you in the end. OBJ will have a chance to craft his own storybook ending to the season in Super Bowl 56.
