Star wide receiver Dez Bryant suddenly finds himself on the open market as the Dallas Cowboys informed him on Friday morning that he would be released. For the first time in his career, Bryant has the chance to play for another team aside from the Cowboys.

There has been a slew of players from other franchises to voice their interest in Bryant joining them this offseason. It now appears that Los Angeles Rams All-Pro running back Todd Gurley can be added to that list as he voiced during an interview with TMZ on Friday morning that he would “love” to have Bryant sign with his team, via Turf Show Times.

“I’d love to have Dez. He’s a Roc [Nation Sports] boy. He’s a beast, you know. Big target, so …”

What is interesting about this situation compared to others is that both Gurley and Dez Bryant are represented by Roc Nation, which could give them a strong personal connection. What is also worth noting is that another player is also a client of Roc Nation is recently acquired star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. There could be an internal conversation sparked between them to get something working that direction.

However, this is a bleak scenario at best as the Rams have just under $4 million in cap space at their disposal this offseason, which is a number that they may need to increase given they will need the flexibility to sign their crop of this year's draft picks.

At this point, it is a highly unrealistic pipe dream but if Bryant were to have any serious interest there is no doubt that the franchise would make a strong push to add him by moving pieces around such parting ways with Tavon Austin, who is on the books for $5 million this upcoming season.

Nonetheless, it just goes to show much interest there is around the league in Bryant despite his decreased production over the last couple of years.
