The sports world at large was rooting for Odell Beckham Jr. in Super Bowl 56. He had become a key part of the Los Angeles Rams' offense after being cut from the Cleveland Browns. He opened up his first Super Bowl with a touchdown catch and added another big catch, tallying two catches for 52 yards in the first half.
Unfortunately, he injured his knee on a non-contact injury in the second quarter. He is questionable to return, the team announced.
Odell Beckham Jr. goes down with a non-contact knee injury.
He was able to walk off on his own, and after a stint in the medical tent, he's headed back to the Rams locker room 🙏🏽🙏🏽 #SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/7TGBZG11O9

LA had built considerable momentum before the injury. Now, they will have to learn much harder on Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson in the passing game.
The sports world was crushed to see Beckham leave the game for the Rams. Several athletes took to Twitter to wish OBJ well.
Oh no! Praying for you @OBJ

Odell being out is a game changer. You can tell that had big plans to get him involved.

NFL needs to ban artificial turf in all stadiums. Hope @obj is ok.

Hopefully for the Rams, Beckham is able to return to the Super Bowl. Their offense would benefit greatly from having one of their biggest playmakers.
