The Los Angeles Rams' COVID-19 outbreak just got worse. Nine of their players, including starting linebackers Von Miller and Troy Reeder, have been placed on the COVID-19 reserve list ahead of their home showdown with the Seattle Seahawks.

The NFL is seeing rising COVID cases left and right. The Rams are one of the teams being hit the hardest. They have 25 players on the COVID-19 reserve list, more than any other team. Other key players, including Jalen Ramsey and Odell Beckham Jr., were recently added to the reserve list. Now, two of their key defenders and other depth pieces on the defense and the offensive line will be out as well.

Miller, a mid-season trade acquisition, has started four games for Los Angeles. The three-time All-Pro has recorded 13 total tackles and one quarterback hit since being traded from the Denver Broncos. Reeder, in his third season with the Rams, has played in every one of their games this season, starting six of them. His 65 total tackles are the third-most on the team this season.

Although the Seahawks have struggled mightily this season, they have w0n their last two games and scored at least 30 points in both of them. With a depleted team, it will be tough for the Rams to hold up their spot in the NFC standings. They remain in the hunt for the top seed in the NFC, fighting the in-division rival Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.
